"Echo Park Neighborhood Council Goes Missing In Action", trumpeted LA's neighborhood blogzine "The Eastsider" yesterday. The article informs readers that the Neighborhood Council's Board of Governors has not met at the new office or anywhere else for that matter since February, and even that month's meeting was halted numerous times due to lack of a quorum as members walked out in order to sabotage voting. Last Saturday I reported the reason for the absence of one recently elected representative, who has moved to the other side of the city. I can't help wondering whether, like The Pied Piper of Hamelin, she has taken all the little GEPENC children with her, with promises of a better life in Santa Monica...

ReplyDeleteShe has no car to travel. She is on the bus and always arrives late to meetings.
ReplyDeleteHey, get off her case! It's not her fault. Yolanda invariably arrives late to meetings because - when she is not acting in an overtly antisocial manner - she is invariably being passive aggressive.
