Sssshhhh!

Head down... allow no photos... keep self and children away from the internet... remove profile pic from new GEPENC website... register with President Jose Sigala's P.O. box address and Lisa Baca-Sigala's PR office phone number. Sounds like time for someone to pop up and let Beckles Watch know where our shy little Miss is hiding herself these days...

Why would anyone wish to associate themselves with Jose Sigala, or with his wife, Lisa Baca?
When Jose ran for Los Angeles Unified School Board Member, District 5 (2003), five of Mr. Sigala's endorsements* proved interesting: Oscar Hernandez (then councilmember-elect, current mayor, city of Bell) along with former and current city of Bell councilmembers Victor Bello, George Cole, Teresa Jacobo and George Mirabal were ordered to stand trial (February 16th, 2011), on felony charges by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Henry J. Hall.

What's It All About?

This site is dedicated to helping authorities, creditors and other victims to track down the serial swindler Yolande Lavinia Beckles (aka. "Yolanda Beckles", aka. "Yo") and to inform and warn new business partners, investors and collaborators about Yo's former life and activities.

Yo's story began in England in the 1990s, when one of several failed business that she established went bankrupt leaving debts of £125,000 (around $200,000) to investors, some of whom were relatively poor people unable to cope easily with their losses. Then in 1999 Yolande was sacked from Hackney charity The Windsor Fellowship for allegedly misusing a credit card and other financial misdemeanours including contracting the services of her own mother for excessive fees.

In 2006, Yo re-invented herself as an education guru, starring in a three-part television show called: "Don't Mess With Miss Beckles", which was universally panned by those in the education profession. The following year she was exposed in London's leading evening newspaper as having allegedly embezzled thousands of pounds from deprived schoolchildren in the London Borough of Hackney for a trip to Trinidad & Tobago which Yo then cancelled, leaving the kids behind while she flew off to a Moonies' religious cult conference in the South Korean capital.

After extracting funding from Hackney Council Education Services for a series of "student leadership skills" seminars that led Hackney's education chief to describe her as "fraudulent", Yo packed her bags and her children and fled to California where she swindled her Hollywood landlady out of so much money that the poor woman lost her job, home and car.

Yolande then moved overnight to a secret address in LA from where she tried to launch a money-making enterprise called Think Global Kids, with help from a bit-part soft-porn actress. With that endeavour falling apart, and having been kicked out of her school job as "a disruptive influence", Yolande moved her base to East LA.

Always staying one step ahead of creditors and the County Sheriff's Office, Yolande moved constantly, moving from lodging to lodging and eventually popping up again at a West LA apartment address. Which was strange, as she had just registered as homeless.

Undeterred, Yolande involved herself in food center activities at The Cathedral Center of St. Paul despite having a history of holding theological positions far distant from that of the Episcopal church. Working her way through the food handouts and after some strange goings-on involving dodgy references, she was eventually elected as a neighborhood councillor in Echo Park.

More recently, Yolande has been heavily involved with LAUSD - initially trying to secure a post as Director of The Parent Center at Hollywood Senior High School and ending up as a consultant for CEAC producing a report on corruption and administrative incompetence in elementary, middle and high schools across the city. And now, after experience in the Title I office at Hollywood High School, she's started up a Title I Parent Union organisation, based at the CTA facility in the UTLA headquarters in Wilshire Boulevard.

Enough fraud, embezzlement and other dodgy dealings to last most people more than a lifetime. But I forgot to mention the little matter of physical threats and attacks. No fewer than four alleged cases of attempted murder, including allegations of the poisoning of two different victims, an attack using a high heel as a weapon and the multiple stabbings of yet another person.

There's never been a soap quite like the story of Yolande Lavinia Beckles. If you are planning to work with her, I suggest that you keep your wallet tightly zipped up and consider wearing body armour under your suit.
